How InnerSource enabled the creation of watsonx.ai

On May 9th, 2023, IBM CEO Arvind Krishna announced watsonx, IBM’s next-gen AI and data platform, composed of three core products: watsonx.ai, watsonx.data, and watsonx.governance. The watsonx.ai product was only possible because of IBM’s embrace of InnerSource four years earlier. In this session, Director of watsonx Platform Engineering Bill Higgins will tell that story, how it changed IBM, and how it will inform the evolution of open source AI in the industry.
